Few joys are greater than the joy of giving.  We are grateful to all of you who continue to support Grand View through yearly gifts, memorials, gifts in honor of a person or event, or who simply become aware of our need and donate accordingly.  Your donations, no matter how large or small, are needed to ensure the continued success of Grand View Care Center.

Grand View Care Center is a non profit organization.  This means that income goes to pay operational expenses. It is nice to know that there is no person or corporation to draw profits from our income.  This is one of the reasons that we can provide such high quality care at such a reasonable price.

Grand View is a charitable organization and, therefore, your donations are tax deductible according to IRS regulations.  Also, 100% of your donation will go towards one of these projects listed below.  These projects are in existence to help raise money to purchase items which will enhance the lives of our residents.

Donations greater than $300, $500 and $1000 are recognized on a donor plaque in our main hallway.

Current Funds

Van Fund – Our fleet of vehicles used to transport residents is aging.  Donations to this fund will be used to purchase a new handicapped equipped van which is desperately needed to transport residents to doctor appointments, community events, fun day trips such as fishing and picnics, and even to special family occasions.  Families are also able to use our vehicles to transport their loved ones.

Scenic Walkway – we are creating a walkway around the grounds of Grand View for residents to walk or to be pushed in wheelchairs.  This walkway will have covered seating areas, wind past a small creek and through a wooded area.  Our grounds are beautiful and we feel residents should be able to enjoy the outdoors with a safe walkway.

Dining Room Fund
– our dining room doubles as an dance hall, theater, chapel, auditorium.  Weekly church services, many programs, dances and special events and held in our dining room.  We are in the process of remodeling it to allow for homey dining, yet be functional for the events which take place there.  We have had a donation for a mural which is in the process of being completed.  It will cover one entire wall.  Several donations have allowed us to purchase new dining tables which easily fold up and roll out of the way, and chairs.  We would like to redo the ceiling and put new curtains in the windows.

Speaker Fund – As part of the dining room remodeling, of the most pressing needs left to complete is a new speaker system.   The sound quality of our old system is very poor.  We have many talented musicians who entertain residents and would like to have their voices and music sound great!  We are looking for several thousand dollars to complete our speaker system.

Alzheimer’s Unit – Monies donated to this fund will purchase activity items or furnishing for these special needs residents.

Activity Fund – Donations to this fund are used to purchase items for our activities program and to allow us to bring in special entertainment that otherwise would not be possible.

Technology Fund – Donations to this fund are used for items such as a Digital Camera, Laptop computers to enable our staff to bring to the computer to the resident or desk top computers for resident’s use in a community area, big screen t.v. for ease of viewing by our elderly (especially nice for Friday movie night), DVD players… the list goes on and on.  As technology changes, so do our needs.
